SIZE / CARE GUIDE

How can I find the best fit for my pet?

ID Collars

⇴ These collars are made to sit below your pets normal collar.

⇴ The style of these collars are made to fit over your pets head and do not open (unless the inclusion of a breakaway buckle is chosen), so please make sure you can do this with the size you have chosen.

⇴ To choose the best fit, use a soft tape and measure where on the neck you would like the collar to sit (the base of the neck is the most ideal), ensuring that it can fit over the widest part of their head with ease (usually around the ears, although this may differ depending on breed).

⇴ The o-ring IS included in length you choose.

⇴ If you are between sizes, it is recommend to size up.

⇴ If your pet is not yet fully grown, you can choose a bigger size to account for growing, although it is recommended to instead re-purchase in a more accurate size once fully grown.

⇴ Do NOT measure using an existing collar as this will not give you the correct measurement.

Buckle Collars

⇴ To find the size you need, take the circumference measurement of where the collar should sit, making sure it’s not too tight (two fingers should fit between your dogs neck and the collar)
⇴ Pick the size where your measurement falls in the middle - i.e. if your dogs neck measures 15 inches, it’s recommended to choose size M instead of L. Doing this ensures room for error on either side of your measurement just incase.

Martingale/Slip Collars

⇴ To choose the best fit, use a soft tape and measure where on the neck you want to collar to sit when taught (measurement A), as well as the widest part of your dogs head (measurement B).

HOW DO I WASH MY PET'S NEW ACCESSORIES?

ID Collars

Most of our ID collars can be carefully wiped down with a baby wipe to get off any dirt.

Twisted rope and fabric collars should avoid water and mud/dirt as much as possible and will likely stain if dirty.

Cork and leather collars are more resistant to muck and water, lighter colours may stain if dirty and it is advised to keep them away from water where possible.

Biothane Products

All biothane collars are resistant to mud, dirt, water, sea water, etc. but please note salt water could effect the hardware.

Hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
